This shelf of lava can be found on the Halona end of Sandy Beach.
During certain tides, the waves filter in from the ocean and gently flow down the ledge of lava rock into a shallow pool below. The water then slowly drains before the next wave arrives, and the entire waterfall process repeats itself.
A most relaxing atmosphere, especially early mornings, when the beach is still empty and the sky is showing off it's dawn colors. To see this painting in more detail
